Cannabis Integration’s Appearance on Cannabis Marketing Webinar
After listening to CannabizCalendar’s fantastic interview with Cannabis Marketing Webinar’s Philippa Burgess, Cannabis Integration knew we wanted to get on the podcast with Cannabis Marketing Webinar. We contacted Philippa Burgess and then we were off to the races.
During our conversation with Philippa, we talked a lot about our “Big Idea”, what we did before becoming involved in the cannabis industry and our inspiration for joining the industry.
As we discussed our cannabis marketing in the industry and how we’ve seen our roles evolve over the course of the last (18) eighteen months as well as some great advice for those who are thinking of getting involved in the cannabis industry.
What inspired us to join the cannabis industry?
Our Chief Training Officer James Finder explained, “As a dispensary technician, I was given a Standard Operations Manual and told to read it. When I realized how much employee training and development was needed in the industry, I decided to apply my employee development and instructional design skill sets to a rapidly growing industry.”
Cannabis Integration saw an opportunity to provide cannabis businesses support when developing their most valuable resource, their employees.
What do we do for clients?
We understood that a reliable and proactive approach to employee development is paramount in our industry so that is exactly what we deliver.
Our vision is to partner with cannabis businesses to give them the confidence and peace of mind that they have a great employee training and development program.
So they can focus entirely on the mission of their business, from dispensaries to infused product manufacturers as well as we create and deliver valuable employee training using the latest in Adult Learning Theory and cutting edge educational technology.
What types of problems do you like to solve?
We think defining, creating, and helping to implement an employee focused culture is critical so we love to create employee development content for the cannabis industry.
We want to make sure all employees have the safety knowledge and sales training to be safe as well as profitable, here are the challenges we see cannabis companies in the industry collectively needing to address:
- Being able to prove that training occurred and behaviors have changed.
- Employee retention and employee turnover.
- Protecting employees by providing health/safety/environment training for pesticides and dangerous chemicals as well as other hazards encountered on the job.
